Workshop Planning

We are back from Easter and it’s all systems go! Over Easter, we have been talking about the workshop on our Facebook group but we did not really have anything solid. Therefore, we have organised meetings which means us meeting at least 2-3 times a week as so much can change over one session.

We have started with the Holi festival but we had a discussion and we want to just base it on colour and not focus on the festival so much. We will be mentioning it in our power point presentation though.

From that, we are going to mention the tomato festival and the colour festival in the UK in places like Manchester so we can relate it back to events in the UK and so we explore all different backgrounds. Our idea is to have a massive colour fight with the children covered in protective clothing so no one is hurt and nothing is ruined. We are going to lay out paper and give the children pots of powder paint at the end of the day to throw around, they will be doing this on the basis of different colours for different occasions in different countries and religions. We think we are going to use water guns as well and fill them with paint so they can spray each other.
